Welcome to the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) – home to the four (4) internationally acclaimed groups in Southern Philippines- the Integrated Performing Arts Guild, Kalimulan Cultural Dance Troupe, the Octava Choral Society and the Mindanao Creative Writers Guild. It is also the home of renowned artists, playwrights, poets, language experts, historians, sociologists, community organizers, and peace advocates, who have been constantly impacting the lives of the Mindanao community.

19 writing fellows to the 19th Iligan National Writers Workshop

19 out of 106 applicants qualified to this year's 19th Iligan National Writers Workshop (INWW) to be held on May 14-18, 2012 at the MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) and at the Elena Tower Inn, Iligan City.

Campus debate in Chancellor's Cup

The MSU-IIT Debate Varsity (MIDV), to develop debating on campus, hosted the 1ST Chancellor’s Cup last March 10-11, 2012.

Five colleges participated in two categories: the Freshmen Cup and the Open Cup.

MSU-IIT, CCP launch Art-for-Therapy program

The MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology with the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), through its Cultural Exchange Department, launched an art for healing and transformation program. The program is for the benefit of the survivors of typhoon Sendong and benefits participants from Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, and Dumaguete Cities.
