Program Objectives
The graduates of both programs (BSIT-MIS and BSIT-BSD) should be able to:
- identify and apply new technologies that will give the company a competitive edge in the market place;
- develop an comprehensive plan for the architecture of the corporation's data, systems and technology that will guide future development efforts;
- design, manage, revise and upgrade the information infrastructure of the organization;
- to organize and protect the firm's data resources as any other corporate assets and provide tools so that the user can access the data more readily;
- to help evaluate and select computer systems for small and medium enterprises; and
- to develop computer-based business application software.

Admission Requirements
- SASE cut-off score for incoming first year students
- SASE Cut-Off Score: 100
Math: 20 or better
Language/English: 50% of the highest possible score
Science: 50% of the highest possible score - In case the quota for a particular semester is not met, students with lower scores to be decided upon by the department may be admitted.

- Transferees from within and other MSU-Campuses:
- Must have taken Math 17 with a grade of 2.50 or better.
- Must have no failing grade in any of the Math and Science subjects.
- Must have a GPA of 2.50 or better.
- Must file an application of admission with the department concerned, which shall rank the application accordingly.
- Transferees from other schools
Transferees from schools other than those belonging to the MSU system shall satisfy these requirements:
- Must have taken Math 17 or its equivalent with a grade of 2.50 or better.
- Must pass the admission exam given by the Admission Office.
- Must have a GPA of 2.50 or better.
- Must pass the interview conducted by Chairman or committee designated for this purpose.
- Second Courser
Students who are degree holders and who wish to seek admission to SCS shall observe/comply with the following:
- They will be given lower priority over transferees since all courses in the SCS are quota courses and slots are limited.
- Their TOR’s shall be evaluated noting specifically, grades in mathematics, language, and science and IT related subjects.
- Must pass interview conducted by Chairman or committee designated for this purpose.
