History
In 1994, the OVCRE created the Department of Technology Application and Promotion (DTAP) and later named as Technology Application & Promotion Unit (TAPU) by virtue of BOR Res. No. 110, s. 2001, to become the Institute's marketing arm in the transfer and commercialization of technologies developed in MSU-IIT and other agencies like those of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
